Abstract

Currently, one of the biggest problems faced for cities is related to the production, collects and disposal of the solid wastes, conditional aspects directly for the urbanization sped up and strongly impelled to the environment. The public agencies, in function of its constitutional abilities and social responsibilities, must organize and keep and brought it up to date a vast quantity of information about the city, taking themselves in account that around 80% of the information used for these governments are related to a specific geographic localization. So that the public administration can reach an easiness of systematization of the information, becoming simpler to understand, to have access and to use them by means of a rational organization of the information, one of the most promising tools is found in the use of GIS technology (Geographic Information System). The present work considers develop an integrated analysis in GIS software for the characterization of the collection system and disposal of solid wastes of the city of Agudos, propitiating ways of analysis and quarrel concerning different aspects.
