Abstract

This project seeks to evaluate the use of ESI-MS-MS Mass Spectrometry methodology for the validation of mechanistic proposals in the literature for catalytic direct arylation. This novel approach could potentially identify reaction intermediates not observable by conventional techniques. The detailed mechanistic information obtained will either support or refine the current undertanding.
