Abstract

This project is based on the development and analysis of the properties of lightweight aggregate concrete for application on cheap buildings, compound with high initial resistance Portland cement, sand, pozolanic addictions, accelerating superplastificizer, fibers and lightweight aggregate (expanded clay), For this purpose, an experimental program was prepared and it can be divided on 7 phases: bibliographic revision; constituent materials’ characterization; dosage process’ study; lightweight concrete’s production’s analysis; concretes’ properties’ characterization; and results’ analysis and conclusions. With this project, besides contributing for the development of suitable concretes to produce the cheap buildings, due to its differentiated properties on density, mechanical resistance, comfort and durability, it’s also intended to better explain the characteristics and properties of national lightweight aggregate concrete.
