Abstract

The coronary sinus is frequently approached during electrophysiological studies, and also in resynchronization therapy and ablation procedures. The anatomy of this structure is not fully described in patients with corrected transposition of the great arteries. Such patients present, during evolution, rhythm disturbances and chronic cardiac failure, being potential candidates to electrophysiological procedures. The present study aims at clarifying the anatomy of the coronary sinus and its main tributaries in this congenital heart defect.
