Abstract

The objective of this research is going to analyze the opinions of the members of the parliamentary elites of the Assemblies Legislative of the states of São Paulo and Maranhão about the democracy. The members of these elites occupy the main key-positions, carry out important activities and have influence on the main decisions of the Legislative. The theoretical questions of the political elites and of the democratic will be based on that research. To research will study the period 2007-2011. The methodological procedure will consist of the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
