Abstract

In this project, we intend to characterize the electrical properties of isolated III-V semiconductor nanowires. Current-voltage characteristic curves as well as conductance measurements will be carried out in specially-processed devices. In order to achieve this goal, thermal annealing parameters will be calibrated to provide good ohmic contacts to the nanowires. Low temperature measurements on these devices will allow the investigation of ressonant tunneling and Coulomb blockade in these nano-objects.
