Abstract

The reaction of hydroxy tellurides with organolithium gives the corresponding dianion. These di-lithium entities react with different eletrophiles such as aldehydes and ketones, giving the corresponding diols. These organometallics can be easily converted into other organometallics by transmetallation yielding cuprates, organocerium, organomagnesium and organozinc reagents. These new diannionic organometallics react with eletrophiles as expected. In this project will be investigated the reactions of dianionic organometallics from organotellurides with nitro-olefins and aziridines aiming the preparation of amino-alcohols which are precursors of biologically active natural products. Methodological studies will be carried out to determine the best experimental conditions for this end.
