Abstract

The techniques used in genetic improvement is made to allow selection of various features, allowing animals really fit and with a favorable genetic are not eliminated early from the herd. However, small and medium producers have no organization, knowledge or software needed to perform the selection, thus requiring the use of simpler techniques, such as method and Tandem Independent Culling Levels. These allow the producer to start your breeding program by obtaining genetic gain for some traits of economic interest. The project goal is the creation and implementation of algorithms for the method and Tandem Levels Independent Disposal, making them available in the software LZ5. (AU)
