Abstract Umbilical cables and flexible pipes for deepwater oil exploitation are very complex elements in a structural viewpoint. They are formed by several components of different materials and have distinct functions. That complexity leads to the need of tools that help the visualization of the three-dimensional arrangement of the components. That work plan aims to construct a computational tool for the planar visualization of the transversal section of umbilical cables and flexible pipes. | |
