Abstract

The subject of this research happens on an element of the social life: the party. The party will be studied from the installation and of the functioning of dedicated companies to the services of promotion of parties. In these studies we delimit the object choosing a company in Araraquara, (SP - Brazil), that it is dedicated to the organization of familiar parties in the urban space. It will be studied under the form of merchandise, in the sphere of the services and contemplated from the merchandise of the domestic party in the city, adding in this understanding on the process of industrialization of the party. We observe as urban phenomenon, accumulating of stocks aspects of rites and symbols, the fact of the parties of this nature if to install in a place that reproduces the familiar environment, in which the party receives new personages, opening the kinship limits, bringing external elements for the privacy of the family. The production of domestic, artisan party, outside passes to a sphere of consumption of products and bought services; the space of the community is substituted by the space of the market. The production of the party then is substituted by the industry of the party. We also detach the fact of the mediation of the market to develop new possibilities of consumption, new necessities, detaching the sphere of services in the city. Thus we intend in centering them through the implications between the merchandise of the domestic party in the urban one acquired in the modality of goods and services, where establishes the paper of the Buffet. Our object of study get in the practical ones of the selected urban average layers in the practical ones of consumption of corporeal properties and symbolic.
