Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effects of supplementation in the diet of broiler with different vegetable oils rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, combined employment of antioxidants BHT and vitamin E on the performance characteristics of birds (feed intake, feed conversion and weight gain), income (eviscerated carcass parts - breasts, thighs, drumsticks, wings and abdominal fat) and meat quality (fatty acid profile, cholesterol, color, cooking loss, shear force, chemical composition, pH, sensory analysis, loss of water drip - Drip loss and lipid oxidation). It Will be conducted two experiments, each of which will be used 720 broiler, Cobb, distributed in a completely randomized experimental designed with four treatments and six replications of 30 birds per experimental plot (boxing). The treatments employed will be; Experiment 01: T1- control diet (not including oil), T2 - diet supplemented with soybean oil, T3 - diet supplementation with flaxseed oil, and T4 - diet supplementation with canola oil; Experiment 2: T1- control diet (not including oil), T2 - diet supplemented with vegetable oil; T3 - diet supplemented with vegetable oil + BHT and T4 - diet supplementation with vegetable oil + vitamin E. The rations will be formulated according to the standards of Rostagno et al. (2005). Statistical analysis will be made with software Statistical Analysis System (SAS, 1998). (AU)
