Abstract

This essay aims to study the effect of anti-inflammatory activity of dexamethasone on the inflammatory foreign body in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) diploid and triploid. To investigate the effect of this drug on the chronic inflammatory response of fish will be used 104 horses with approximate age of 1 year and weighing 250g, 52 diploids and 52 triploids fed commercial feed. The fish will be randomly assigned to four tanks of 1000 L each, constituting the following treatments: T1 = diploid fish treated with dexamethasone, T2 = diploid fish without dexamethasone treatment, T3 = triploid fish treated with dexamethasone and T4 = triploid fish without dexametasona.Decorridos treatment with 15 days of adaptation and acclimation to the transport, the trout will be anesthetized and submitted to the coverslip implantation in the subcutaneous tissue. Coverslips are harvested three, seven and fourteen days after implantation (TPD) to observe the kinetics of macrophage migration and formation of giant. Coverslips are fixed in Bouin and stained with hematoxylin-eosin. After anesthesia of the animals will be collected blood samples for the study of hematological parameters. The correlation between the variation of hematological trout treated with steroids and cell migration in chronic inflammatory foreign body type will help to understand the disease mechanisms involved in these processes, as well as, this experimental model allowed the comparison of organic response between diploid and triploid animals.
