Abstract

Similar to hypertext, hypervideo is a non linear video that allows the user to access other hipervideos by selecting links placed along the hipervideo.In this project we will investigate solutions to automatic creation of face indexes for hipervideos. In this research, the student will study computer vision algorithms for face segmentation and tracking. Each detected face will be listed in a data structure that stores all the shots that contain that character. This structure will be used to create a visual index that allows the user to click on a face to visualize information about that character and directly access other shots that contain that face.
