Abstract

This project aims at studying concepts related to Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR), and at implementing a system to apply those concepts to a mammographic image database, originally used to support computer-aided diagnosis schemes development and testing. The goal is to define suitable features and develop a technique of image retrieval in order to look up for images in a previously built database, by considering similarity criteria. (AU)
