Abstract

The aging is followed by a big incidence and prevalence of illnesses and chronicconditions and its consequences represent a challenge for the health system. Besides theregular biological decline and the gradual appearance of diseases and functionaldifficulties, the oldness it's not about illnesses and incapacity only, as it is possible tocontrol many existing problems through the correct type of assistance, which wouldguarantee a good life quality to the aged people. Therefore, the necessity of knowledgedevelopment for the health professionals becomes evident on the influence of the agingand in the quality of life of the aged ones. Following it, the objective of this are: toevaluate the presence of alterations in the life quality of aged people who uses ReadyAid services, identify their characteristics and the possible vulnerability and recognizethe conditions that work as a benefit for this part of the population. It is intended thatthis research is made on the exam session of the Ready Aid in the University of SãoPaulo´s College Hospital. The research will be qualiquantified. The population will bepeople that are 60 years old or older and the sample will be 100 individuals, who willagree to the Free and Aware Assent Terms. For the data collection the instruments thatwill be used are: Scale of evaluation of Basic Activities of Daily Life, WHOQOL-Old,WHOQOL-Bref, Scale of Geriatrical Depression, Plan of Gerontological Attention. Thequantitative data will be analyzed by the SPSS program and the qualitative ones forthematic analyzes proposed by Minayo.Key-words: older, quality of life, Ready Aid
