Abstract

The study of the angular and lineal measures of the dental arches presents great expert importance, permitting the differentiation of individuals as regards the sex. In the present work, will be performed objective analysis, in the sense of evaluate the dimensions of length and width of the dental arches, seeking the possible one sexual differences. In this way, will be carried out 50 takings ray photographs occluded pattern done in 50 individuals, of which 25 will be of the male and 25 of the female, in the age group between 20 and 24 years, presenting upper dental arches and lower complete. The images ray photographs will be transferred for a computer, with aid of a Scanner, when subsequently the sketches and the measurements will be carried out, utilizing itself the Software "Corel Draw X4". The results will be submitted to statistical analysis, for analysis of the groups studied.
