Abstract

The main aim of the project is the synthesis of a new molecular sieve similar to the natural boggsite zeolite. This zeolite has a very complex and interesting 3-D structure and also a very high potential use as a molecular sieve and catalyst. The synthesis of the material will be performed using organic structure -directing agent (SDA), as has been demonstrated in the literature for other highly silica zeolites. The potential use of the new molecular sieve for asymmetric reactions will be investigated. (AU)
