Abstract We compute an improved limit on the diffuse flux of electron neutrinos from all supernovae by imposing compatibility with the Super-Kamiokande data in the energy range above $E_{e}>18$~MeV. Our new limit is $\Phi(\nu_e) <5.0 \times 10^{2}$cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$, one order better than the old limit. We discuss also a similar limit for the flux of non-electron neutrinos coming from past supernovas. (AU) | |
