Abstract Several changes have demanded a new approach to Operations Management and the integration process between functional areas must be point out in order to improve overall organization's performance. The present study aims to map the Logistics, Marketing and Production processes to produce a set of measurement mechanisms that would be used to evaluate cross functional work done by the three areas. As result, it would generate a theoretical framework which will guide the future research that will be done by the proponent and her students after the period abroad. With the support of the research team of Logistics and Marketing's Department from University of Tennessee at Knoxville I intend to aggregate theoretical contributions to this framework, developping propositions to be tested in empirical research after a Post-doctoral period in the US.
