Abstract

The solid state quantum computer (QC) using electronic spins in semiconductor quantum dots is a very attractive and promising area. Many aspects of the quantum dot QC need realistic and detail investigations. In this project, we intend to develop the physical models for predicting the capability of quantum dot devices to perform spin- qubit operations, and studying spin transport in mesoscopic semiconductor systems for spin injection and detection.
