Abstract

This is a study about the collaborative process and its pedagogical character for the training of playwrights. The collaborative process is a model of theatrical creation arisen from nineties of the twentieth century. It is also related to current forms of knowledge production and sharing. This work surveys three operational matrices that constitute the common structures used by various theatre groups in their own collaborative processes. They allow the formulation of different creation procedures by the playwrights. The three matrices are: the theme, the variable hierarchy and the critical feedback. The ideas elaborated in this study were developed from the observation of the collaborative playwriting performed in theatre groups and its influence in the pedagogical project of the playwriting course of the SP Escola de Teatro (AU)
