Abstract | |
This text aims to explore the relationship between cinema and the different representations of the social reality in brazilians "favelas", which are socially and culturally constructed, through documentary films produced during the cinema after 1990. The decision about this specific mean of communication to be studied is related to its social uses as the cinema is a cultural production, it can be considered a different view through which we can better analyze the society, since it is constitutive of social reality, producing meanings, values and propositions expressed through their own construction. Therefore, it is particularly interesting to understand how films propose discussions about the symbolic place that the "favela" acquires in the audiovisual universe and in the present social dynamics ,which are placed before the ethical, aesthetic and political implications of the representation (AU) | |
