Knowledge production on professional formation in physical education: reality and outlooking perspectivies

Abstract

This thesis is among those that deal with teacher formation and the struggle to change its course, especially in Physical Education. In particular, we seek scientific explanations related to these changes in the scientific knowledge produced on the subject. In this sense, the objective of this thesis was to systematize and analyze, from the identification of the general characteristics of the production of knowledge in "professional formation in physical education", pedagogical, social and political proposals to overcome conflicts - both epistemological and political - the problematic of the definition of the Curriculum Guidelines of Physical Education. To that end, we analyze the possibilities that have been developed, with respect to "Professional Formation in Physical Education" (PFPE) in 451 researches conducted between 1982 and 2015 in Brazil. More precisely, we seek to identify the main proposals on the approval of Resolutions 03/87, 01/02, 02/02 and 07/04 in scientific production. The growing volume of productions that deal with "Professional Training in Physical Education" and the fact that the discussions about the DCNEF were resumed in the National Council of Education in 2015, after more than 10 years of the approval of Resolution 07/04, justify the epistemological balance that we realize. In order to do this, we are guided by a critical-dialectic approach and we carry out a bibliographic-documentary research, in which we consider the links between the production of knowledge and the socio-political-economic determinants. We identified that 70% of the researches were carried out in Post-Graduation Programs in Education and Physical Education, in federal university. Regarding the profile of the person who guides the research in PFPE, we identified 226 counselors, the majority (56%) being female. We have identified a predominance of researches that deal with PFPE's relations with the world of work have been privileged, with 24% of the total. The critical-dialectic approach (43%), followed by phenomenology-hermeneutics (21%), postmodern (20%), and empirical-analytic (16%) were the most important among the theoretical-methodological approaches. We analyzes based on the pairs of categories of the dialectical method of reality-possibilities and necessary-contingent. We conclude that there is in the production of knowledge in the area of physical education propositions related to formation training committed to a project of formation the worker in Physical Education (and workers in general) qualitatively superior, omnilateral, that effectively meets the demands and historical claims of the working class. This project has as its central perspective the construction of a historical project that overcomes the relations of appropriation and private accumulation of capital and aligns itself with the collective resistance actions that unify workers and fighting movements worldwide to overcome capitalism. Once the results are demarcated by the determinations of time, space and conditions of the research, they are provisional. However, we believe that the analyzes carried out in this research point to new challenges in the field of physical education, particularly in the formation of teachers in the area (AU)
