Abstract | |
The central purpose of this research is to critically analyze the structuring principles of the actions of non-formal patrimonial education, carried out at the rural areas of São Paulo state for adult and elderly population, from different social classes. From the comparison of educational activities in three historic farms of São Paulo, selected among the participants of the project PPPP / FAPESP (07 / 55999-1), were analyzed one of each types of farms, as determined in previous Master's degree research: 1st type - farms in the process of preparations to begin to take on tourist activities, 2nd type - farms performing rental accommodation or 3rd kind - farms focused for tourism / business through a farm hotel. An extensive literature was conducted on the topics of research to prepare the script of the interviews with those responsible for the selected historic properties and visitors / tourists. This process was carried out from a qualitative methodology (Oral History) with emphasis on the technique of oral testimony. The prospects of non-formal education help to highlight how important tourist activities become for these groups as they are propitious to the learning experiences of the visitors. This fact allows us to state that non-formal heritage education can be seen as one more possibility of educational experience that can be improved through cultural tourism. It, therefore, is flexible and respects differences and capabilities of each visitor, which face and signify their own experiences, triggering past memories, future objectives and also defining disruptions (AU) | |
