Abstract

Armando Freitas Filho is one of the longest-living poets active in Brazilian poetry, committed to the literary writing since the 1960s. His work is composed of 17 books in the traditional format, despite of non-commercial editions. This study is dedicate to the analysis of two recent books, Lar, (2009) and Dever (2013), which we understand as a single project. We are interested in taking an interpretive itinerary related to the awareness of the finitude evidenced in this phase of the author and to the poetic choices before the impossibility of unity of the work. For this, we approximate late style theory to Armando Freitas Filho's project to think about the crisis figured in his current writing, regarding processes of identification and individuation (chapter 1); also we propose a reading itinerary from the mirrors of these works (chapter 2) (AU)
