Abstract

The goal of this thesis is to study the thermodynamic formalism at zero temperature in the context of a random subshift of finite type. We make use of results from the literature that (under some hypotheses) guarantee the existence of equilibrium states µ_t for sufficiently regular random potentials tØ, where the parameter t is interpreted as the inverse of the absolute temperature. From the thermodynamic formalism at zero temperature we characterize the maximal ergodic value of the random potential Ø in different ways and we obtain maximizing probabilities. We provide a contribution to the theory of ergodic optimization by generalizing the concept of subaction to random dynamical systems and by showing that sufficiently regular random potentials admit calibrated subations (AU)
