Abstract

This is a research on the sociality of Kalapalo children, focusing on their relations to what they refer to as "the world of white people". From there, it was intended to contribute to the studies of anthropology that deal with children and, more specifically, the constant updates in the lives of the Kalapalo people, one of the indigenous populations of the Upper Xingu, in constant contact with the urban world. We sought to understand local concepts such as the production and training of people in the Upper Xingu with a focus on the relationship with the world of whites in two ethnographic perspectives: that of the sociality of children in the village itself and the circulation and travel of children to the cities of Canarana and Querência, located on the border of the Xingu Indigenous Territory (TIX), in the state of Mato Grosso (AU)
