Abstract

This present work foccused on the trajectory of former students from university preparatory popular courses that have taken place in Brazil since 1990. The courses are believed to promote a open-door opportunity for some social groups of getting educational degrees, specially among the so called "low incomers people" by the oficial statistics. The research was droven by the question about the current social situation for those who were enroled on that courses, overcame the public examinations to access the university, experienced its atmosphrere and courses, and are now working as graduate professionals. The main goal of this work was to think and investigate a supposelly less evident aspect of such courses, beyond of considering it not only as a extension of the process of education of working classes, on a cenary of a new political and historic contexts (to expand the educational system and public polices aimed to those living in poverty), but also to think and recover the social properties mobilized by the individuals to identify what were the configurations that turned possible their trajectory and its effects on their lifes.
