| Abstract | |
In this thesis I shall sustain that, given what is known today about current status of the manuscripts to "the German Ideology" (1845-1847) as it is published in MEGA-2 I/5, it would be possible to analyze – and by such means compare – two sets of Marx’s manuscripts as processes of self-understanding, i.e., the "German Ideology" and the Grundrisse. In the capacity of "process of self-understanding", not only did those two manuscripts have different starting points (the post-Hegelian philosophy and the Political Economy), but also different outputs, which were achieved through the negation of each starting point. From the new philological information, it is possible to determine that Marx has only reached some concepts (concept of history and critique of ideology) during the critical debate against Bauer and Stirner. In this regard, as it shall be clear in this thesis, such concepts did not form the starting point to the critique; instead, they were an output. Another less remembered output is the necessity to leave philosophy in favor of a science: the Political Economy.
