This research intends to develop a method for evaluating formwork, rebar, concrete and brickwork placement labor productivity. The main objective is to allow labor productivity forecast , evaluation and analysis. The method must be, at the sametime, easy to use and reliable, and allow short-time analysis. It should help construction managers taking decisions about labor. Firstly, it is necessary to detect and understand the several available techniques for labor productivityevaluation. Then, a field study will show their advantages and disadvantages. As a result of this process, a preliminary method proposal will be composed and will be submitted to a new field evaluation. This continuous interaction between theresearcher and the construction companies will help developing the labor productivity study method. It will be a helpful tool to detect factors influencing labor productivity and to quantify their influences, making the labor management easier. (AU) | |
