Abstract

This study has as its object the model of Social Organizations, an administrative-political paradigm introduced in the Brazilian state reform during the90 years. It is, in general, a private nonprofit entity that operates in formerly public sectors such as health, education, culture, and others. The adoption of this model is a step forward in a process of privatization and reduction of state action, in addition to the growth and encouragement of the private sector. The study sought to present the model, its development and its current stage, especially in São Paulo, found space in which a greater number of social organizations working in various sectors. We seek to further problematize this model, bringing questions about its viability, based on the works and stories that depict various aspects critically little explored by previous research: embezzlement of public funds, lack of participation and lack of financial. After this work, we have carried out a case study in a hospital under the management of an OS to understand how the mechanisms deployed by the private entity affect labor relations (AU)
