Abstract | |
The coastal regions in Brazil are characterized by the dynamics of natural processes associated with the conformation of relief that may represent areas of risk to the occurrence of events such as floods or gravitational movement. The intense process of human occupation over time in these areas has assisted greatly weaken the organization of the whole natural system that governs these spaces resulting in catastrophic frames. Due to the fragile environment and the pressure of land use observed in the coastal region south of the State of São Paulo this paper aims to run a study Geoenvironmental Zoning for the area of municipalities occupying the area of the South Coast of the State of São Paulo, more specifically those located in the coastal zone of influence, like municipalities Iguape, Ilha Comprida and Cananéia, using the methodology proposed by Rodriguez, Silva and Cavalcanti (2004) of the Geoecology of the Landscape. Through the survey and analysis of the natural and socio-economic status, it is intended to define the framework for geoenvironmental units of the study area in the scale 1:100.000 as the final product. It is considered that the results of this study may assist in the discussion of territorial planning of use of the land that takes into account the conformation and dynamics of the landscape as a prerogative in setting standards for use and occupation of the frame to minimize environmental impacts observed. Furthermore, it may serve to assist in environmental planning, since this area has an extremely fragile natural environment with conflicting anthropogenic processes (AU) | |
