Abstract

This work focuses the historical formation of the western Brazilian frontier in Goiás and Mato Grosso during the eighteen and early nineteen centuries as an instance of how space and space relations, as Geography conceives them, can influence and even shape a wide gamut of historical phenomena. By so doing, we hope to give a little contribution to Brazilian territory-formation Geography (AU)
