Abstract

(EN) The invention describes a method for preparing bone grafts from a preparation of a Biosilicate® in (110), in (120) infiltrating barbotine Biosilicate® into the Biosilicate® from (110), in (130) burning the infiltrated Biosilicate® from (120), in (140) infiltrating the burned Biosilicate® from (130) with Bioglass F18, in (150) burning the product from (140), in (160) repeating the infiltration with Bioglass F18 from (140) and the burning from (150), and in (170) recovering the Biosilicate®/Bioglass F18 product with improved compression strength. The bone grafts obtained have a porosity from 83.0 ± 2%, a mean cell size of 770 ± 290 μm, and a compression strength of 1.0 ± 0.2 MPa at 82,0 ± 1.3% porosity, a mean cell size of 525 ± 220 μm and a compression strength of 3.3 ± 0.3 MPa when prepared respectively from PU foams with 35 ppi or 45 ppi. The bone grafts obtained are used to replace trabecular bone and to provide consistent mechanical integrity and porosity for the regeneration of functional bone tissue.
