Evelyn Aparecida Mecenero Sanchez Bizan

She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Methodist University of São Paulo (2005), a master's degree in Geosciences from the University of São Paulo (2010) and a PhD in Geosciences from the University of São Paulo (2014). She is currently a professor at the Federal University of the Jequitinhonha and Mucuri Valleys, in Diamantina, where she works in the areas of Precambrian Paleontology, Astrobiology and Geoheritage Education. Since 2017, she has been secretary of the Pre-Cryogenian subcommittee of the International Commission on Stratigraphy. Between 2021 and 2023, she was secretary of outreach for the Brazilian Society of Astrobiology, where she continues to work as a member of the educational and scientific outreach team.
