Research Associate at the Institute of Global History of the University of Hamburg, Germany. I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of History of the State University of Campinas, Brazil; and obtained both my PhD (2017) and Master (2013) degrees in History from Paulista State University Julio de Mesquita Filho, Brazil, funded by FAPESP. I was also a Visiting Researcher at the Ibero-American Institute in Berlin, Germany, (2019-2020); and the University of Helsinki, Finland, (2015-2016). My area of expertise is Latin American History, with emphasis on the Cuban Revolution, the Chilean New Song movement, and the government of Popular Unity in Chile. I authored the books "Chilean New Song and the Question of Culture in the Allende Government: Voices for a Revolution" (Lanham: Lexington Books, 2021); and "Não há revolução sem canções: utopia revolucionária na Nova Canção Chilena" (São Paulo: Alameda, 2015), among other academic papers.
