Graduated from Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) - Bachelor in Biology, Master in Botany. PhD in Biological Sciences (Plant Biology) from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho, Rio Claro, SP. She has experience in Botany, with emphasis on morphology, anatomy, embryology, and floral development of monocots. Since 2008 works as a biologist at UFPR . Recently concluded the post-doctoral project "Floral development in species of Dendrobieae Endl .: search for homologies and the role of MADS-box genes in morphological key-innovation", at Ruhr Universität Bochum.
