Holds a degree in Industrial Chemistry from Federal University of Maranhão (2000) and a PhD in Chemistry from Federal University of São Carlos (2005). I am currently an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) and was a visiting researcher at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain (2007) and at the University of Lincoln, England (2019-2020). General Research Coordinator at UFPB and Deputy Dean of Research at UFPB between 2016-2018. Vice-Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Chemistry at UFPB between 2016-2019. I am a CNPq Research Productivity Scholar since 2009. I am the scientific director of the National Institute of Science and Technology in Molecular Sciences (INCT-Cimol/CNPq). Reviewer for several national and international journals. Advisor to Fapesq, Facepe, CNPq, Capes, FONCYT (Argentina) and The Royal Society (UK).
