Biologist, with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP, São José do Rio Preto), and a Master's and Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Zoology) from UNESP, Rio Claro. Specialist in the taxonomy and morphology of Echinodermata, with emphasis on Ophiuroidea. Between 2008 and 2010 she carried out a postdoctoral fellowship (FAPESP grant), and between 2011 and 2016 she was a Young Investigator (JP-FAPESP) at the Museum of Zoology of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). She is currently a Researcher (PQ career) at UNICAMP, curator of the invertebrate collections, and coordinator of the Museum of Biological Diversity (MDBio) at the Institute of Biology of UNICAMP. She is also affiliated with the Graduate Program in Animal Biology at the same institute. Her research focuses on Zoology and Systematics, particularly on the taxonomy of extant groups of Echinodermata, general zoology, and morphological studies. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
