Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Holds a Ph.D. in Human Geography from the University of São Paulo (USP), a master's degree from the same institution with a sandwich period at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), and a bachelor's degree in Geography from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). He has taught at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (Ufes), the São Paulo State University (Unesp - Rio Claro), and the Fluminense Federal University (UFF - Campos dos Goytacazes), also contributing to the specialization in Geoprocessing at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). He is the editor of the Boletim Campineiro de Geografia. Currently, he is part of the Laboratory of Social Space (Labes - UFRGS) and participates in the international research network FinGeo - Financial Geography, conducting studies on financial dynamics and socio-spatial inequalities in Brazil from the perspective of Economic Geography. His research focuses primarily on themes related to Economic Geography (territorial financialization, diffusion of financial investments, financialization and infrastructure, credit cooperativism), Geography of Information (territorial informatization, media concentration), Historical Geography (formation of Brazilian territory), and Urban Geography (dynamics of urban networks and contemporary metropolises).
