Physician graduated from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (19962002), with a residency in Internal Medicine and Clinical Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine of Botucatu, São Paulo State University (UNESP) (20032006). He earned a Masters degree in Pathology from FMB-UNESP (20062008), a PhD in Pathology from the same institution (20082011), and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at FMB-UNESP. He is a Clinical Oncologist and a Full Professor in both the Academic and Professional Graduate Programs (PPG) at Barretos Cancer Hospital Pio XII Foundation, working in the areas of Clinical Oncology, Palliative Care, and Quality of Life. Coordinator of the course Palliative Care and Quality of Life. Member of the CNPq Research Group Palliative Care and Quality of Life (GPQual). Section Editor (Treatment) of the journal Cancer Control. Recipient of a CNPq Research Productivity Grant Level 1B.
