Silvia Maria Fonseca Silveira Massruhá

Ph.D. in Applied Computing at the National Institute for Space Research (2003 ) ( INPE ) , Master in Computer Science from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (1996 ) from State University of Campinas ( Unicamp ) and graduation in Systems Analysis - Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (1988 ) . Since 1989, she is a researcher at Embrapa Agricultural Informatics, Embrapa Digital Agriculture from September 2021, where she has coordinated projects in the area of software engineering, artificial intelligence and computer science applied to agriculture with approximately 90 technical and scientific publications and 25 softwares in the areas of expert systems, abductive logic, fuzzy logic, machine learning, data mining and text applied to animal management and diagnosis of plant diseases. She held the position of Head of Embrapa Digital Agriculture from July 2015 to January 2022. From August 2009 to March 2015, she held the position of Manager of Research and Development of Embrapa Digital Agriculture. She is currently Researcher in Charge / Director of the Science Center for Development in Digital Agriculture at FAPESP (CCD-AD/SemeAr) and Coordinator of the AgroDigital Thematic Chamber in the ILPF network (Crop, Livestock and Forest Integration). She has complementary training in development of management skills by Fundação Dom Cabral and in advanced management by Amana-Key.She participated as a member of the Commission for Precision and Digital Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) and member of Câmara do Agro 4.0, created by the ministries of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) and Science, Technology, Innovations (MCTI) (2018-2022), She currently participates as a member of several boards: SBIAGRO Board of Directors, Board of Directors of the Eldorado Research Institute, Advisory Council of the Brazil 6.0 Ecossystem, Advisory Board Faesp/Senar-SP, Strategic Committee of the National Laboratory of Agrophotonics - LANAF of Embrapa, External Advisory Committee of Embrapa Rice and Beans. In recent years he has also participated in the initiatives of Agtechs working in acceleration programs and mentoring startups to contribute to the consolidation of the innovation ecosystem for Digital Agriculture in the country. Since May 2023, he has served as president of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), in addition to presiding over the Cooperative Program for Agrifood and Agroindustrial Technological Development of the Southern Cone (Procisur) and the Forum of the Americas for Agricultural Research and Technological Development (Foragro) in the 2024/2025 administration.
