Full Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the Paulista School of Medicine (EPM) of the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp) and Vice-Director of EPM-Unifesp (2023-2027). She has dedicated her career to neurobiology, working on the biofabrication of 3D systems for studying the central nervous system, with an emphasis on neurodegenerative diseases and neurodevelopment. She holds a biomedical degree from EPM, a master's, Ph.D., and postdoctoral training in Molecular Biology from Unifesp, as well as a master's in the History of Science from PUC-SP. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neurobiology at Harvard Medical School / Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). She is an advisor in the Graduate Program in Molecular Biology at EPM-Unifesp, having served as coordinator (2015-2022) and vice-coordinator (2022-2023). She is a member of the management committee of PROFBIO (Professional Master's in Biology Teaching). She coordinates the INCT MODEL3D (National Institute of Science and Technology for Modeling Complex Human Diseases with 3D Platforms) (2022-2027) and was a researcher at INCT REGENERA (INCT for Regenerative Medicine). She is a board member of SBPC (Brazilian Society for the Advancement of Science; 2021-2025) and was president of SBBC (Brazilian Society for Cell Biology; 2020-2024). She is a member of the Deliberative Council (CD) of CNPq, representing scientific societies in the life sciences.
