Holds a degree in Dentistry from the School of Dentistry of Piracicaba - UNICAMP (1993), a master's degree (1999), and a doctorate (2001) in Clinical Dentistry, with a specialization in Periodontology, from the same institution.She is an Associate Professor 3 in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Periodontology at the School of Dentistry of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (FORP-USP).Her research focuses on the association of Tissue, Periodontal, and Bone Regeneration (focused on bioengineering innovation) and Susceptibility to Periodontal Disease (related to host dysbiotic processes and their connection to chronic systemic diseases).She served as a "Visiting Instructor in Research" at the University of Texas - Health Science Center - Houston (1996 to 1997) and a "Visiting Scholar" at the University of Pennsylvania - School of Dental Medicine, with a FAPESP scholarship (2016/2017).In the realm of internationalization, since 2016, she actively coordinates academic and research mobility agreements with the Università degli Studi di Parma (Italy). As a result of these efforts, in 2021, she implemented and now coordinates the Undergraduate Double Degree Program with the aforementioned university, strengthening an important exchange for all university sectors.Since 2022, she has served as President of the National and International Relations Committee of FORP/USP. In 2023, she assumed the Coordination of the Postgraduate Program in Dentistry - Periodontology, and in 2024, the Vice-Presidency of the Research Committee of FORP/USP.She is the Coordinator of PERIOMED a Center for studies, research, and periodontal care for patients with systemic involvement and other non-communicable chronic conditions, which promotes social impact research, knowledge dissemination, and the nucleation of specialized agents. It also offers multidisciplinary and specialized care, impacting protocols and health innovation.She is a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow - level 2 (2010-2016 and 2019-present).
