RODRIGO ALVES DE SOUZA

Is Bachelors degree in Animal Science (Zootecnia) from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2007) and a Masters degree in Sustainable Animal Production from the Instituto de Zootecnia do Governo do Estado de São Paulo (2016). PhD in Food Engineering Sciences from the Faculdade de Zootecnia e Engenharia de Alimentos FZEA/USP. Is a specialist in quality control of eggs and meats and an auditor trained in internal auditing for HACCP and FSSC 22000 in the food-industry sector, certified by SGS Group. Was as a postgraduate professor in the course Hygiene and Technology of Eggs and Derivatives at IFOPE Institucional, and as professor in the Agribusiness course at Escola Técnica Estadual Ídio Zucci, teaching the following components (30 hours per week): Processing of Agricultural-Livestock Products; Business Plan in Agribusiness; Logistics and Marketing in Agribusiness; Implementation and Management of Agricultural-Livestock Projects; Agro-industry Management; Agricultural Economics; Coordination, Health and Rural Occupational Safety; Coordination of Rural Work; Planning of Final Course Work. In 2025, he worked as a university professor in the Animal Science course at Universidade de Rio Preto (UNIRP) (São José do Rio Preto) and is currently professor in Animal Science at the Instituto Federal Fluminense (IFF) Cambuci Advanced Campus. Acts in the expertise areas: quality management, processing and quality of animal-origin products, good manufacturing practices for animal-origin products and food-safety management in animal-origin product chains.
