He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1975), a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1978), and a Ph.D. in Exact Sciences from the Department of Electrotechnique - Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (1985). Went for a pos-doc at North Carolina State University, USA (1992). He has been a full professor at the University of São Paulo since 1999. After his retirement in March 2017, he holds the position of Senior Professor at EPUSP. He was vice-general coordinator - Laboratory of Integrative Systems until 03/2017, was vice-president of the Association of the Laboratory of Integrated Technological Systems (LSITec) from 10/1999 to 04/2017, and since 2007 he is the chapter chair - IEEE Solid State Circuits Society - IEEE South Brazil; he was president and vice president of the Brazilian Society of Microelectronics, from 2003 to 2007. He has experience in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on Electronic Circuits, working mainly on the following topics: microelectronics - integrated circuit design CMOS, RF, digital and analog circuits, CAD for Microelectronics, design of integrated circuits for health (cancer detection) and other applications. Its R & D activities have resulted in more than 150 publications in national and international journals and conferences. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
