Fernando Landgraf graduated as a metallurgical engineer from Centro Universitário da FEI (1976), He got his Masters degree (1987), and his PhD (1992) in Material and Metallurgical Engineering from Escola Politécnica. He worked at Institut for Technological Research (IPT) from 1976 to 2005, when he joined Escola Politécnica of University of São Paulo -USP. In 2009 he was appointed Innovation Director and in 2012 President of the Institut for Technological Research (IPT). His scientific and technological production is centered on the investigation of the relations between microstructure and magnetic properties, and between additive manufacturing and microstructure. Since 2010 he also investigates the history of metallurgy in Brazil, mainly in the microstructural analysis and archaeometallurgy. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
