Djenaine De Souza

She is currently Associate Professor IV at the Chemistry Institute of the Federal University of Uberlândia, Santa Mônica Campus, and coordinates the Laboratory for the Electroanalysis of Environmental and Food Contaminants (LECAA). She founded and coordinated the Laboratory of Electroanalytics Applied to Biotechnology and Food Engineering (LEABE) at the Patos de Minas Campus. He teaches in the Chemistry (Uberlândia) and Food Engineering (Patos de Minas) Postgraduate Programs. She has a degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Goiás (1996), a master's degree and a doctorate in Science, concentrating on Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry), from the São Carlos Chemistry Institute of the University of São Paulo (2000 and 2004), both developed in the Electrochemical Materials and Electroanalytical Methods Group (GMEME). Post-doctorate in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry) also at the Chemistry Institute of São Carlos, University of São Paulo (2004-2007), with a FAPESP scholarship. From 06/2007 to 06/2009 she was a researcher and voluntary lecturer at the Chemistry Department of the Federal University of São Carlos. From 01/2010 to 02/2011 she was a researcher at the Corrosion and Electrochemistry Group (GELCOR), in the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Physical Chemistry at the Federal University of Ceará, with a Scientific and Regional Development (DCR) grant. He has experience in Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Food Analysis and Food Chemistry. She specializes in electroanalytics, working mainly on the following topics: electroanalytics applied to food analysis; electroanalytical determination of pesticides and drugs; studies of oxidation/reduction reaction mechanisms; determination of additives and toxic compounds in food; use of pulse voltammetric techniques; microelectrodes, chemically modified electrodes, boron-doped diamond electrodes and solid amalgam electrodes.
