Sérgio Robles Reis de Queiroz, born in 1956, is a Full Professor in the Department of Science and Technology Policy at the Institute of Geosciences - Unicamp. He holds a degree in civil engineering (1978) and a bachelor's degree in philosophy (1983) both from USP, a master's degree (1987) and a doctorate (1993) in economics from the Institute of Economics at Unicamp. He completed postgraduate studies at the Institut Européen des Hautes Études Internacionales, Nice, France (1980), was a Visiting Researcher at SPRU, Science Policy Research Unit, at the University of Sussex, England (2000) and a Visiting Scholar at George Washington University, Washington, USA (2024). He was Coordinator of Science and Technology and Deputy Secretary of the Secretariat of Science, Technology and Economic Development of the State of São Paulo. He was also Coordinator of Research for Innovation at Fapesp. His research interests are: innovation and economic development, technological learning processes, globalization of technology, foreign direct investment in RD, university-business partnerships, knowledge-intensive entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems and entrepreneurship.
