Bachelor in Psychology Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (USP-FFCLRP). Graduated in Psychology from FFCLRP-USP. Nutrition Specialist by the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto (FMRP-USP). Master and PhD in Pharmacology from FMRP-USP. Postdoctoral the Boston Medical School, USA (1993-1995) and Associate Professor at USP (1997). He is currently Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo. Member of the editorial board of the journal Nutritional Neuroscience (USA), Psychology Neuroscience (Brazil) Studies and Psychology (Natal). Leader of the Research Group "Nutrition and Behavior" National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). Member of Advisory Committee of Psychology CNPq (2010-2013) and Chair of this Committee (2012-2013). Director of the School of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (2008-2012) and Head of the Department of Psychology and Education FFCLRP-USP for two terms (2003-2005 and 2005-2007). Chairman of Research FFCLRP-USP (2007-2009). Vice-President of the National Association for Research and Graduate Studies in Psychology - ANPEPP (2012-2014). Full Advisor in Graduate Programs in Psychobiology-FFCLRP-USP and USP-Psychology-FFCLRP where already concluded the guidance of 02 Post-Doctorates, 17 PhDs, 23 Masters and 21 Scientific Initiation. Has experience in the area of Psychology (Basic Psychological Processes - Experimental Psychology), with emphasis on Psychobiology, acting on the following topics: Early protein malnutrition, anxiety, learning and behavior, feeding behavior and environmental determinants of obesity in children and adolescents.
